Led by pianist Adrián Begoña, One By One features an unusual line up in jazz: the quartet with piano and guitar. Begoña‘s classical music background, as well as that of guitarist Mario Quiñones, contrasts and mingles with the natural intuition of double bassist Arturo Mora and drummer Jimmi Castro, a living legend of the national jazz scene.
Our repertoire includes fresh revisions of classic swing pieces from the 20s and 30s, but we also like to express our modern side by facing contemporary jazz by Wayne Shorter, Sonny Rollins or Chick Corea. Original compositions also find their place in our set list. Fresh jazz, happy jazz, high quality jazz with a spanish flavour.
